by Norma Lee Browning

While construction is gong on, Bob is in New York, before the cameras with Faye Dunaway, shooting "Three Days of the Condor." [The best-selling book was "Six Days" but someone must have decided that made things drag too much.]

The hit Paramount film, Three Days of the Condor, opened in the Chicago area on Friday, October 17, 1975. The film opened in nine theatres in the city and suburban area.

TOWER TICKER

by Aaron Gold

The Loop really was swinging over the weekend with long lines for "Mahogany," starring Diana Ross and Billy Dee Williams [$81,000 in three days]; "Let's Do It Again" with Bill Cosby, Jimmy Walker and Sidney Poitier at the State Lake, and "Jaws" in its 18th week at the United Artist. And the Robert Redford-Faye Dunaway starrer "Three Days of the Condor" as is doing spectacular business.

CHARLIE CHEROKEE SAYS--

"Let's Do It Again" and "Three Days of the Condor" are jig-jagging for first place in Variety's "50 top-Grossing Films." Two weeks ago "Let's Do It Again" was No. 1. Last week "Three Days of the Condor" returned to the top spot. "Mahognany" kept steady in its No. 32 spot.

LOOKING AT HOLLYWOOD

by Norma Lee Browning

Warren Beatty for instance, bought "Bonnie and Clyde" as a screenplay and talked Warners into putting up the money to make it. Incidentally, he signed Faye Dunaway for $75,000, and she now gets $400,000 per movie, and Michael Pollard, who got $14,000 for B & C now gets $75,000.
