Quentin Tarantino, a longtime fan of
Jack Hill's work, bought the rights to the film and re-released it in 1996 through his film company Rolling Thunder Pictures. He held a huge premiere and a celebration at a theater in Los Angeles which the film's original cast attended. Co-star Marlene Clark remembered the event in an interview many years later and laughed about it. "My commercial agency called me and said "We have an invitation to a screening of SWITCHBLADE SISTERS!" Clark laughed. "[Rolling Thunder] actually sent a car to bring me to the screening! All the way over I thought, "This is a flashback. I'm having a breakdown." Nope! I got to the theater, and it was for real! All the other women from the movie were there, and there was a nice little party afterwards at a place called the Red Room. It was amazing."
