This was allegedly Laura Antonelli's first film, but following Salvatore Samperi's advice, Patrick Longchamps shelved his film for a year and waited until "Malizia", Samperi's own film, was released before showing it. "Malizia" made Laura Antonelli an overnight success. When "Simona" came out people flocked to the Cinema just to see Laura in what was billed as "Laura Antonelli's First Film".
