Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

The main character claims to be a transvestite, but is merely a cross-dresser.

A woman's breasts briefly pop out of her bustier.

Silhouettes (shadows) of people are used to depict two sexual scenes, a man having sex with a woman, and a man receiving filletio.

The female lead seduces a man and allows him to fondle her breasts and ends up having sex with him (some shots show the man on top of her kissing her) They are later caught under the sheets by the woman's fiance and two others

Statues of completely nude people are seen around the castle

A magazine is seen with a picture of a topless woman

One song is titled "Toucha Toucha Touch Me"

An element of the plot has the main character creating a muscle man for his sexual pleasure.

Both men and woman are shown in revealing corsets, fishnet stockings, and high heels.

Sexual remarks throughout and lots of sexual references.

Violence & Gore

The violence is minimal and is not the main part of the film.

A man is killed with a pickax off-screen. A trail of blood is seen. Later on, it is revealed that the characters' dinner is the remains of the killed man.

A dead body is found.

A woman is slapped.

A man is whipped. This is not graphic.

Three people are shot with a ray gun but with no blood.

The word "fuck" is used once, in a song lyric. The word "dammit" is used repeatedly in a song lyric. The word "goddamn" is used once.

People are seen drinking wine at dinner. Frank-N-Furter periodically smokes cigarettes,Dr. Scott finds a joint (but doesn't smoke it) in The Zen Room, and there's a picture of Eddie in a Men's Room with a syrenge in one hand, and Turnicate aroun his arm abbout to shoot up

There are some mildly frightening scenes, generally during the creation scene, but overall, the film is relatively tame in terms of frightening.

The film should be acceptable for young teens who understand concepts like homosexuality.

Suggested MPAA rating: PG-13 for Suggestive themes, sexual content, mild violence , and brief language.

If it was released today it would be PG 13

14+ for sexual material, brief bloody violence, frightening sequences, and some language
