By its time, the movie was the most expensive Mexican film ever made. It was entirely shot on location at Puerto Rico (except a couple of interior shots at Estudios Churubusco in Mexico City), with most of the budget devoted to the rental of millionaires' lavish cars and houses and actors David Reynoso, Jorge Rivero and Guillermo Orea and Ernesto Gomez Cruz's salaries. Despite this, the movie was a box office bomb and had a very moderate criterion response, lasting in theaters only 15 days. See more
