Entertaining rom com.

Before Lasse Hallström won Oscars for Mitt liv som hund/My Life as a Dog (1985) he did a couple romantic comedies (he also made some children's films) such as this one and Jag är med barn/ Father to Be(1979) and the sort of sequel to this with similar title Två killar och en tjej/ Happy We(1983).

These film are not so known outside of Sweden, in fact judging from the lukewarm treatment here at IMDb very few seems to have taken an interest in them. This is really a shame because this film and Jag är med barn/Father to Be (1979) are two very charming entertaining comedies.

This film is simple rom com about Lasse(played by Brasse Brännström, famous Swedish comedian) who is slacker devoid of ambition, spends his days working as paper boy and his nights at local discos.

When he after many one night stands meets Lena (played by Mariann Rudberg)he asks himself the old question: is she the one? Is he really ready to give up his single life for her?

There is nothing new here in this film but it serves at least today as a wonderful time capsule, what single life was like in 70's in Stockholm. This combined with lots of charming, funny situations, like Lena/Lasses charter trip abroad makes film worth seeing.

It has been released as a 3 disc DVD box and I'm very curious to buy this DVD collection, it's been a few years since I saw these films. But as always there's hardly any extras, a shame, I would like to know what it was like making these films.
