As a result, First Films refused to pay and created a copyright-safe soundtrack (which features on the Japanese DVD). However, Pathfinder bought the rights for their DVD and cinematic releases.
- For its UK cinema release BBFC cuts were made to remove closeups of groin kicks and eye gougings, and to remove all footage of sectioned chain staff. Video and DVD releases feature a shorter print which omits around 12 minutes of footage.
