Hilarious sex comedy features Sharon Kelly as one of the most naive starlets ever to fall out of a burger joint and into a Hollywood set. I mean, she makes Carol Kane look like Einstein! Fortunately, she has a great body, and doesn't mind showing us. She also has no problem pleasing everyone in sight in order to get a part in the lavish musical production, "The World of Julius Ceasar" (a nod to then-popular rock opera JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR). If this flick wasn't so weird, it would be highly cynical, as it looks at the Hollywood heirarchy from a strictly dysfunctional point of view. Everyone, from the lowliest talent scout to the head of the studio, is corrupt and twisted! Not like today! Some of the stuff Alice runs across across in her romp through Tinseltown are: food fetishism (in scenes remarkably prescient of 9 1/2 WEEKS); impotence; ennui; germophobia; rampant paranoia as erotic stimulant. This great, obscure sexfilm would rate an "R" today, but it was pretty risque for mid-70s drive-in fare.
