Stewart Peterson "Sam" walked away from acting in the late 70's. In the late 80's he formed an outfitting business with his uncle called "Magic Mountains Outfitters" out of Cokeville, WY. After his uncle retired Peterson's son stepped in and the name was changed to "Crooked Sky Outfitters" in 2019. Some 40+ years after "Against a Crooked Sky" was released, the name lives again.
Jewel Blanch who played Charlotte was a country music singer. She sang the theme song, "Against a Crooked Sky," for the movie. In 1982, she and her father Arthur won the Album of the Year award at the Country Music Awards of Australia for their 1981 album "The Lady and the Cowboy." Jewel was also awarded Best Female Vocalist for her own composition of "I Can Love You."
