John Travolta endured a parent's worst nightmare, but was able to come out the other side thanks in part to someone he calls a "beautiful kind of glue." Nearly eight years after the untimely passing of Jett Travolta, the actor's oldest child who died in the Bahamas after suffering a seizure at 16, the Life and Death of John Gotti star reflected candidly on the tragedy after nearly a decade.  "We certainly have bonded together," the actor said during an interview for Good Morning America. "Certainly having little Ben has been a beautiful kind of glue for us to rebond after a tremendous loss." Travolta and his longtime wife, actress Kelly Preston, »

23 September 2016 12:40 PM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

It's hard to imagine Michael Strahan not being in tip-top shape, but the former NFL star admits he went through a chubby phase. "When I was 13, my brother started making fun of me [because] I was a chunky kid, calling me Bob, which meant booty on the back instead of big butt," Strahan, 44, tells People in this week's issue. "So I started working out." In fact, the former defensive end used Jane Fonda's wildly popular workout tapes. "I somehow got the money to buy the Jane Fonda workout tapes and did those," he admits. Imagine going in for a big network lead role having never auditioned before. Ever.

Clearly she did something right, landing the lead in the ABC drama, which enters its sophomore season this weekend.

Chopra says her beauty pageant pedigree helped open many doors for her.

“I guess that’s how it’s done here,” the Indian-born actress joked on “Good Morning America” Friday. “Because I ended up being Miss World — I’m just casually putting that out there, in 2000 –so people kind of knew who I was and [I] was cast in movies because it made sense. And then I just ended up doing a lot of them because I guess I was decent at my job.”

Drone Strike: TV-News Outlets Gear Up With New Eyes in the Sky

22 September 2016 12:12 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Steve Harrigan was on the ground in Homosassa, Florida earlier this month to try to show Fox News viewers the extent of flooding damage caused by the hurricane known as Hermine. The best view of the havoc, however, really came from the air.

Fox News Channel used a drone – sometimes known in tech-junkie jargon as an “unmanned aerial system” – to get a bird’s-eye gaze of the rising waters. And the 21st Century Fox-owned news outlet isn’t alone. ABC News has tapped drones to help “Good Morning America” anchors like Ginger Zee and Amy Robach show off hidden Vietnamese caves and rare animals in Tanzania. CNN has already launched a new unit, called CNN Air, devoted to drone-captured footage. NBC News has utilized the flying devices to show viewers everything from the effects of earthquakes in Italy to floods in Louisiana, said Janelle Rodriguez, senior vice president of editorial for NBC News.

‘The Magnificent Seven’ Star Haley Bennett: How She Crashed The Boys’ Club (And Stole The Movie) — Girl Talk

22 September 2016 10:42 AM, PDT | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Girl Talk is a weekly look at women in film — past, present and future.

Haley Bennett is all smiles. The female lead of Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming “The Magnificent Seven” remake is equally bubbly when talking about her nerve-jangling audition process, the physically demanding shoot and what she’s got on the docket in the coming months (“I’m going to need a vacation from the vacation!”), but even all that sunshine can’t obscure that Bennett is a serious actress who is only further growing into her career with grace. Bennett first popped up on the big screen in Marc Lawrence’s 2007 rom-com “Music and Lyrics” — yes, that was her playing the spacey but sweet pop star who saves Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore’s songwriting career — and has spent the next decade carefully choosing roles across a wide berth of genres and budgets.

Michael Strahan Is Disappointed That He Was "Painted as the Bad Guy" in the Kelly Ripa Feud

It's been a few months since Michael Strahan and Kelly Ripa's feud rocked the Live! set, but the Good Morning America cohost is giving his side of the story in the latest issue of People. After "blindsiding" his costar with his sudden exit from the show, the 44-year-old opened up about his unfair portrayal in the media. "The most disappointing thing to me was that I was painted as the bad guy, because I value the way I carry myself," he told the magazine. "I don't want people to see me as 'Oh, he just ran out, just left them there.' That's just not true." Following Michael's announcement, Kelly decided to take a few days off, but their working relationship wasn't exactly easy upon her return. "I wasn't surprised by her reaction at all, but I can't control somebody else's actions," he said. "I was there four years, »

Jimmy Kimmel’s Emmy Blooper Reel Reveals Jeb Bush Flubs

20 September 2016 5:28 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Jimmy Kimmel’s show open at Sunday’s Emmy Awards included a surprise appearance by Jeb Bush. The former Gop presidential candidate was the only non-actor cameo in the pre-taped piece, and it showed. Bush flubbed many lines but appeared to have a great time, cracking himself up a few times.

Check out the hilarious blooper reel below, which includes prop issues that plagued the casts of “Veep” and “Modern Family,” and even Kimmel himself.

In the open that actually aired, Bush and Kimmel set the tone for the show with this funny exchange:

“Are you nominated?” Bush asked Kimmel, who was seeking a ride downtown to the Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony.

“I am, yeah,” the host replied.

“Wow, what’s that like?” the former governor asked.

“It’s nice,” Kimmel replied.

When asked if he could win, Kimmel answered, “Well, there’s a lot of competition. Probably not.” (Editors note: He didn’t).

Bush responded, “Here »
