Goofs

David took a 12 volt/6 cell battery out of the 1970s Chevrolet Blazer, and replaced it with a 6 volt/3 cell battery. A 6 volt system can usually be used with a 12 volt battery in an emergency, but not the opposite. Only vehicles made before the '60's use 6 volt electrical systems. See more »

Quotes

David Anders: [thinking about having their car forcibly taken earlier by a man] I wish I'd had the rifle, he wouldn't have gotten the Blazer.
Steven Anders: Why? Would you have shot him?
David Anders: ...Yeah.
Steven Anders: Has it come to that already, David?

Really Good End of the World TV-movie
22 September 2001 | by (Boca Raton, FL) – See all my reviews

Another really good TV-movie directed by John Llewellyn Moxey, the Master of 70's TV-Movies & Pilots (Genesis II, Night Stalker, Kung Fu, A Taste of Evil, etc.) This is another in a long line of End of the World/Doomsday stories. Peter Graves give another solid performance as the father of a family on vacation, just trying to return home, and reunite the rest of his family with his wife, during and after the crisis.
