Dawn Wells was unavailable to reprise the role of Mary Ann because of theater commitments, and Tina Louise no longer wanted to be play Ginger and refused to let Filmatoin use her likeness. Both characters where voiced by Jane Webb but to give the illusion that two actresses were used and for it to work in the cartoon's title tune, she was credited by her professional name, Webb, as Ginger, and by her maiden name, 'Jane Edwards' for the Mary Ann credit. Above average Saturday morning fare. Part of ABC's "Funshine Saturday." Had a simian named Snubby, in addition to the usual cast. They organized a democracy on the island. Snubby got half a vote. Was similar stories to the old Gilligan, but dumber. Still better than most Saturday morning shows of the time.
