Plot:

Even if it didn't star Amitabh, this movie would be pretty good. His performance makes it great--showcases his intense/compelling qualities, not his goofy side. Several good songs, none of which he participates in. GREAT early-70s mod gangster lairs and clothes! Plus Jaya Bhaduri as a gorgeous knife-throwing babe. Found this one even more compelling than Sholay, which is hard to beat.

As a movie, it's one of the Amitabh's best but do not see the DVD made by EROS. Get a cassette if you want to see Amitabh (and also others) in full. Eros has put two black bands on top and bottom to make it cinemascope. It was a waste to see the Big B with forehead and chin cut off.

I have seen this movie in cinema. I wanted to try aother DVD. What a waste of time. Extremely poor formated DVD. The movie has been zoomed in to fill the widescreen, resulting in cutting off 40% of the picture. Its hard to enjoy a movie when you don't see the entire picture as it is meant to be seen. I watched the DVD released by Baba Digital.
