There are numerous instances of boom mic visibility are only found in Full Screen or Pan & Scan versions such as VHS and Rhino's DVD release. (The most recent Paramount DVD presents the film in its proper matted Widescreen format, eliminating the boom mic visibility errors.)

In the process, Callie's blasts blow huge holes in the wall several feet wide behind Pusser, yet miraculously, no one on Callie's right sitting at the bar was hit by these stray blasts.

When Buford goes into the Lucky Spot with his stick and begins to hit the men, it is obvious that he is not using a stick to hit them with because it is flexible. It appears to be made of foam. In non-contact shots in the scene it is a real stick.
