Did You Know?
Trivia | According to director Mark Lester on the Blu-ray audio commentary, Ed "Chromedome" Ryan came to his office for an audition, got his role because of his prior experience as a stunt driver, lived in Lester's house for a while (Ryan even fixed his car), and was later discovered to be an escaped convict wanted for armed robbery. When he was re-imprisoned, penitentiary staff requested a print of Steel Arena to show to the inmates, who often cheered whenever Ed Ryan appeared on screen. See more » |
