George Hilton must elude police and hired assassins if he's to save his skin
15 March 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This movie is a sturdy and tense actioner, sparked by an intense performance given by George Hilton. He is really quite impressive as a former hit man caught in a very sticky situation that might reveal his past if the police catch up with him while they are trying to unravel murders that are not Hilton's doing.

Hilton, a former hit man who is as adept at martial arts as shooting, is blackmailed by Sam Fastikopoulous (played by Stephan Zacharias) with photos of his last hit to perform one more by his "employer" who is a slick lawyer. He flies from Rome to Athens. Seven hours later, he is to shoot at a car passing a certain spot on a road.

Meanwhile, Athens police are recovering a dead body, a laborer, from the harbor near a shipyard.Hilton makes a good faith attempt to do his job, but cannot due to an intervening vehicle. He returns to F who again forces him to try. He goes to the target's house and pushes his way past his wife, but the target (named Michael Papadopoulos or P) knocks him unconscious. He inspects his passport and airline ticket. P plans to kill Hilton and make it look like self-defense, but Hilton knocks the gun away when P's wife interrupts him. They fight and his wife accidentally shoots P instead of Hilton. Hilton had no plan to kill. He wanted to know who wanted P dead. P's wife is on the phone calling the police and Hilton runs into the night to his car.

Hilton calls F to meet him at the airport fast so he can get away. The police learn from P's wife that he had an airline ticket to Rome, time and flight unknown, but they know the name on the passport. P was a foreman at the shipyard where the dead laborer was found.

Hilton eludes the police at the airport, helped by a stranger to him, played by Rosemary Dexter. She takes him to her home. He calls F, but no answer.

The police inspector (Mr. A) is coming to see the employer (Mr. K) of the dead P, and F is talking with him, so F was working for K to get $100,000 pay for the assassinations. K wants F to kill Hilton before the cops get him. F leaves and A comes in to see K. He doesn't like the rich K and having to wait to see him. He has many questions about the dead P.

A sets a 24 hour tail on K. And now he knows from the paraffin test that P's wife actually shot him.

We are now 30 minutes into this action thriller and the setup is complete. Hilton confronts F at his home and demands a new passport and a way out of Greece from the scared and non-physical F. It's night and they leave by car but they are being followed.

There's plenty of action left in this very good action thriller.
