3D curiosity, worth watching
SMK-43 January 2001
Presumably inspired by Pete Walker's 4 Dimensions of Greta this is another 1970s sex comedy filmed in 3D. Walter Boos however went all the way - we do not have just the odd 3D boob scene, the whole film is made in 3D. The viewer is constantly reminded of that, because the cinematography is truly bizarre with plenty of scenes of rather peculiar camera angles that strongly emphasize the 3D effects, e.g. a girl on a swing moving towards (and above) the camera, twigs hitting a car window, and many many more. The exaggeration of 3D makes these scenes quite funny, as the effects are completely over the top.

Top-notch German sex romp with Christine Lindberg and Ingrid Seeger
lazarillo14 February 2011
This is another film from German sexploitation meister Walter Boos, one of the co-creators of the infamous German "report" films. But rather than being a series of vignettes centered around errant German school girls or housewives, this movie basically has a structure similar to the much later American indie classic "Slacker" as it randomly follows around any number of barely related characters who live and work around a certain apartment building. It's also in 3-D, of course, so there are lots of shots of things being thrown at or, um, thrust into the camera (including, but not necessarily limited to, the pendulous breasts of Swedish sexploitation star Christine Lindberg).

If this could be classified as a "report" film, it's definitely one of the sexier ones with little plot to get in the way of the non-stop sex scenes. A girl(Ingrid Steeger) is embarrassed by her very sexually active roommate. A young man picks up a sexy nude sunbather by locking the balcony door and using a fishing pole to steal her clothes thus forcing her to come into his room where, of course, hot sex ensues. A man in a restaurant picks up a beautiful Indian girl while his friend also scores with a well-endowed waitress ("chubby chasers" will no doubt really enjoy the latter scene). A repressed woman submits to a lesbian seduction, but ends up having trampoline-style sex with a man as they bounce wildly on the bed. But they save the best for last, as the incredible Christine Lindberg shows up for two of the most unabashed sex scenes of her career, intercut by scenes of her driving men on the street to distraction with her very abbreviated mini-skirts and criminally low cut blouses. Then it's back to Ingrid Steeger, who finally falls in love with a guy, and gives her horny female roommate a run for the money by having wild sex with him on the balcony, literally almost bringing the roof down.

This is one of several German sex films Euro-sexploitation legends Lindberg and Steeger appeared in together (not in the same scenes, of course, that would melt the celluloid in the camera). It is, unfortunately, only available in German, but I doubt fans of either actress will care (or perhaps even notice). It also might very well be Walter Boos best film, and it's certainly one of best German sex comedies I've ever witnessed (and I've witnessed quite a few).

Trash worse than usual from that time and country

Warning: Spoilers
"Liebe in drei Dimensionen" or "Love in 3-D" or "Love in 3D" is a West German 85-minute live action movie from 1973, so this one is already over 45 years old and it is the only writing effort by Florian Vollmer according to imdb, but I have a feeling this may be just an alias and he worked on many other films as alias were not too uncommon when it came to writing these German sex comedies during the 1970s. They guaranteed some safe money, but artistically they brought virtually nothing and many weren't too fond to be associated with them because the creative impact is virtually zero. The director is Walter Boos and the latter can certainly not be said about him as he worked on oh so many of these softcore films from West Germany back in the day, including the famous Schulmädchen franchise. Okay as for this one here, I felt it was much more sex than comedy honestly. Basically all the slightly funny inclusions refer to words people say during, before or after intercourse. Usually these films had many more non-sex scenes and awkward scenarios in contrast to this one here. It is really about nothing but sex. The good news is the girls are all pretty hot, definitely more attractive than in average for these films, but it may have been to my liking too because there were far more brunettes in here and dark-haired chicks than blondes. And even the latter are represented nicely with Ingrid Steeger who early on and in the final sequence looks pretty stunning in her 20s. But yeah, her performance is also one example og why this film really sucks. There is a story build-up for her character as she comes to Munich to rent her sister's apartment for a while while the sister is off to Africa. But this is not references once anymore during the entire film until the very end when the sis is back. And even surprisingly so as Steeger's character has no idea she could be back. Everything in-between has nothing to do with that plot. Or with anything else. It is just one juicy, steamy sex scene after the next. Don't be hesitatnt to call this porn. German film buffs will recognize names like Steeger, Volkmann, Wecker too. If you have seen other films like this one and God knows there are many out there, then maybe you have come across Talamonti, Lindbergb and Butz too. The latter two are really amazingly beautiful in my opinion. But yeah, the looks should not distract from how low this film turned out to be in terms of creativity and artistic value that has to be close to zero. Big thumbs-down from me and even if you take into account how little you can expect from the genre, it is still a disappointment. Do not watch. Don't be fooled by the title that has something to do with how this was filmed and sounds almost like a Schlöndorff or Herzog movie. It is the exact opposite. Garbage.

A fun 3D movie slight scene spoiler
BazzaPOB23 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I remember seeing this film at the cinema. It was shown in 3D using a split prism system and you had to wear the Polaroid glasses. I must admit the storyline didn't make hardly any sense but the 3D effects were amazing ranging from a broken egg being dropped on the floor coming right into your face as well as a lady in the shower unhooking the shower head and 'knocking' the audience with it as she showers herself in a semi-circle. The best bit though is the spider in the fun house. You know its a fake spider but all its hairy legs seem to reach out and touch you. It is a simple film with lots of things coming out of the screen at you. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Catch it if you can in 3D. As an interesting footnote, the 3D show at Alton Towers used a few scenes from this movie though nothing sexual. When the spider came on the screen, EVERYONE at Alton Towers took their glasses OFF as the spider proved too much!
