"Kaadu"An excellent movie,by Girish Karnaad. A brilliant actor and director. The credit goes to Mr.Karnad for selecting Amrish Puri for the role "Chadre Gowda" in the movie. The famous dialogue in that movie by Puri was "Basakka.......Bartini..bartini" referring to the mistress played by Uma Shivkumar, a superb actress. The key success feature in Amrish Puri was his eyes and his power laden voice, hence all his dialogue delivery became very powerful in all his subsequent films. The actor Late Amrish Puri debut in Kannda movie, though the voice was dubbed by Sundar Krishna Urs was highly commendable. I could tell with certainty that they the talent emerged from the theatrical performances. The legend Amrish Puri had maintained the same momentum for almost 3 decades. 3 cheers Puri. You are a blessed a soul. You proved yourself and gave meaning to this life.
