There is a graphic but intimate and loving sex scene between two married characters with a romantic music score. The scene lasts for about 4 straight minutes with intermittent cuts to action taking place afterwards.

You see no genitals of either sex but you see bare breasts and buttocks. Audience was shocked in 1973 by rumours that was a real life sex scene (between stars Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie). Still now, there's no certainty.

The only gore is at the end when a man's neck is cut with a straight razor and blood leaks out.

some strong language.

Adults drink in the film casually

A man with "second sight" envisions his young daughter drowning in a pond. He runs out and pulls her from the water, wailing in anguish as tries to revive her without success.

The scene described in the gore section may frighten children.

BBFC - (15): strong sex, violence, injury detail.
