This half-assed animated feature fails utterly in recapturing the spirit and adventure of Herge's superb books. The sluggish story has Tintin and Captain Haddock happening across art thieves while visiting Professor Calculus, and from beginning to end its scale is too limited and lacking in twists or surprises; the identity of the villain is obvious from the second he appears, Claw-like, in a chair with only his arm visible. The actor voicing Haddock sounds like Stephen Hawking's computer, the animation is subpar (in particular the shoddy backgrounds), and the music is annoying as hell. If you want a more faithful adaptation then watch the TV series. This is balls.
