Sex & Nudity

  • It is originally believed that the murder victim's assailant got her pregnant. However, it is later revealed that the local doctor got her pregnant. This is a recurring subject in the movie.

Violence & Gore

  • Two men find a dead woman's body in the marshes. She had been struck in the neck and had bite marks all over her body.
  • A man punches a doctor.
  • A policeman and a prisoner are killed by a werewolf. No violence is shown, but the prisoner's body is later shown covered in blood. The local doctor confirms that they had been killed by the assailant's fingernails.
  • A werewolf attacks a doctor and a flock of nurses. They all fight back. Many are injured, but none die. There is no blood in the scene.
  • A werewolf is burned severely in a barn fire.
  • A werewolf is shot three times in the chest and dies. There is little blood on his wounds.


Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A doctor drinks alcohol and offers some to the local sheriff. Though the sheriff refuses it, he later drinks straight from the bottle.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The movie doesn't attempt to be tense until the second half of the movie. Few may find the death scenes, violent scenes, or chase scenes in the movie frightening or disturbing.
