Explicit, but not really relevant

"Kama Sutra Rides Again" is a British 9-minute animated short film from almost 45 years ago. The writer and director was the late Bob Godfrey and this one here resulted in his first Academy Award nomination. He won with his second. I am a bit surprised that this was so successful as it was (as the title already says) pretty explicit with nudity (even if mostly in comic book style), but the story was not particularly good or memorable. I think this one is only worth seeing from the perspective of how nudity took place in film during an era where it was not taken for granted and still may have shocked many people, such as the 1970s. The humour is fairly light and this film does not make a dramatic impact, also never tries to, which makes it fine again I guess. It is 100% comedy, but in my opinion not on a level that would warrant an Oscar nomination. Thumbs down and I don't recommend it.
