Cute, funny and unusual short definitely for adults!
6 January 2014 | by (Tucson AZ) – See all my reviews

This short is strange, even for Bob Godfrey. There will be mild spoilers ahead:

This short, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Animated Short, covers the rather extraordinary sexual exploits of Stanley and Ethel, a couple clearly of mature years. Stanley recounts the increasingly extreme and often dangerous lengths the couple goes to in order to improve their sexual experiences. The activities become and more outrageous, until the viewer wonders just how they survive Stanley's enthusiasms (particularly Stanley himself).

It becomes clear that Stanley is the driving force behind this search for more novelty, with Ethel being the patient and long-suffering spouse. The ending is priceless, when the inevitable finally happens.

This short is well worth searching out and well worth watching, particularly if you like Godfrey's work. Recommended.
