The idea that druids in upstate New York that dress in plaid shirts, bib overalls, and straw hats to disguise themselves as farmers is on a par with the Coneheads saying "we're from France" to avoid suspicion. It is just as laughable. This is a film that screams to be picked apart, because it's just so full of stupid things you can barely keep up with them. Let's just say that fizzy blood that looks like soda and a dead white dog that seemingly becomes a bath mat are two of those things. Now the blood sucking machine that's used by the druids to drain their victims is obviously from the same factory as the cat food machine from "The Corpse Grinders" and watching the victims twitch and groan as they are being drained is amusingly disgusting. Some of the farmers favor black hoods though, which is a bit more menacing, and if I were going to make a movie I myself would pick the black hoods over the "Farmer John" outfits. Anyway the plot (what there is of it) is that druids living in upstate NY are going to revive their queen so they're seeking lots of blood to do it. And who is their queen? The woman that lies in the glass case (with no top) or the guy that calls himself Creton, with a gray-frosted mullet? It is rather hard to tell. Overall this is laughable stuff.....and at one time I did find this to be a scary movie but I was much younger and less jaded. It's still a good watch for bad horror movie aficionados, but if you're looking for a great horror movie look elsewhere. 7 out of 10.
