Trivia

Because of its tight shooting schedule and low budget the film couldn't afford to have snow created for the exterior scenes. Instead it was opted to have rain outside through out the film for a more moody atmosphere. A fire hose had to be used to create the rain for the outdoor scenes, which is why in some shots the sky is obviously clear even though it suppose to be raining. See more »

Goofs

When Christine leaves the house to find Sheriff Nolan it is nighttime, but when she gets to the woods to get away from the killer it is daytime. See more »

Wednesday night Suspense movies
20 August 2005 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I remember this movie on the Wednesday night suspense movies. It was very creepy. What I remember most of all is the sound of the tinsel tinkling on the Christmas tree every time someone walked by and then Sally Field running past the tree to escape from the killer. The rain in the film made for an unhappy holiday season and then for wrestling in the mud down an embankment with the grandmother who was trying to kill her with a pitchfork -- I thought it was Susan Hayward. How can one get videos of this and other films that played on 70's TV, I wonder? There are many obscure titles that I recall from this series of movies many of which scared the bejesus out of me as a kid.
