Storyline

After more than a year of engagement, and after Jeff (moondoggie) secures a good job with a large company, he and Gidget set a date for their wedding. After a blissful but all too short honeymoon they set off across country to florida where Jeff's job is waiting for him. Gidget soon discovers, however, that the companies influence extends too far into the personal lives of its employees and she sets about trying to correct things, much to the horror of the companies management. This is the second best Gidget movie!
10 July 2004 | by (Huxley, Iowa) – See all my reviews

I believe that this is the second best Gidget movie in the movie series. This is a very unusual story, and I absolutely love it.I am a big Gidget fan, and I saw this movie when it first aired on television in 1972.This movie is so funny, it will tickle your funny bone if you like silly lighthearted fare.Monie Ellis who played Gidget Lawrence was really effective in her part. I have never seen her in any other show or movie since then. The same goes for Michael Burns who played Gidget's husband Moondoggie.Don Ameche stole the show as Moondoggie's overbearing boss.Joan Bennett played the wife of Moondoggie's boss, and she was classy and beautiful as usual.I was afraid that I would be disappointed that Gidget and Moondoggie got married in this story, but I was pleasantly surprised. I watched this movie recently, and it was just as good as it was when I watched it when I was a teenager. I highly recommend this movie. The whole family can watch this movie.
