Orsini and Gemmas collaboration on CORBARI gave us one of the greatest films ever, this is nowhere near, but is boldly epic in its vision, and deep down it seems that a great film is trying to break out. Gemma is as good as ever and Senta Berger is surprisingly good, but it is Nicoletta Machiavelli who steals the acting honours in a movie that could have been so much more.
