Two actors, Todd Susman and Sal Viscuso, primarily did them. Coincidentally, they also appeared as characters in various episodes. Gary Burghoff + Jamie Farr were the only regular cast members to occasionally make the "incoming wounded" announcement.

What does MASH stand for?

Mobile Army Surgical Hospital.

The following are everyone's (assumed) actual age

Hawkeye, Trapper, BJ, Houlihan, Winchester, Klinger: 30-35

Frank: mid-thirties

Radar: 17 (at start)

Henry: early 40's

Potter: 61

McLean Stevenson (Henry Blake) left because he was tired of playing third fiddle to Alan Alda (Hawkeye Pierce) and Wayne Rogers (Trapper John McIntyre). Wayne Rogers was unhappy for a long time with the fact that his character was reduced to a sidekick, which was the complete opposite of what the producers told him his character would be, and when the producers came down on him over a dispute regarding his contract, he decided he had had enough and left. Both Rogers & Stevenson later admitted that leaving M*A*S*H after three seasons was a huge mistake on their part. Larry Linville (Frank Burns) left because his 5 year contract was up and he was tired of playing the same mean spirited bigot; though he never found another role that was as visible to audiences as Frank, he said he had no regrest over leaving. Gary Burghoff (Radar O'Reilly) left due to personal problems. Loretta Swit (Hot Lips Houlihan) wanted to leave after the 8th season, but the producers would not let her out of her contract.

Rita Wilson (aka Mrs. Tom Hanks) as Nurse Lacey (Hey, Look Me Over) (Blood and Guts) S-10

Susan St. James as Nurse Aggie O'Shea (War Correspondent)

Gail Strickland as Cpt. Helen Whitfield (Bottoms Up)
