Excellent Series.
18 April 2010 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

A series on the cusp of feminism. Icy Margaret Lockwood in cerebral and still rather sexy middle-age played the role of a female barrister confronting the stuffy antiquated chauvinism of 'chambers' with the same unflinching resolve she brought to British law itself.

Lockwood was a fine actress who could handle the part with verve. Each episode was an hour long - some feature films were scarcely longer in those days - so there was plenty of time for a good story to develop and be resolved.

There was a small but excellent supporting cast and minimal set changes, most of which were the stuffy confines of the law. It was an early British forerunner to America's equally worthy 'Law & Order'. Though 'Justice' was played out with a fraction of the budget.

Very iconic theme music too.

Not available on DVD yet. Well worth a watch if you get the chance.
