This is a movie set in Yugoslavia during the second world war.The location is, i presume to be somewhere in Croatia as in the move they fight against the Ustasha-s.As the movie is from a communist country and as it is from 1971, you can't expect much in the terms of quality and acting compared to for exaplme Hollywood movies.
Acting is also poor because they didn't have the nessecary equipment and technology to make it look good, but it does add top the sense of realism.
The plot is also not that good, i would say that's it's more realistic than movie like.
The story goes that a partisan named "Dikan" was assigned or he himself wanted to kill a traitor, who was now serving in the enemy army. Not much of a plot but it does seem realistic when you think about all the things partisans were doing in WW2, no traitor was forgiven.
As i mentioned before, acting is kind of poor, but that does not mean that trying to accomplish it was also bad.The acting may not be the best but trying it sure is.Actors who don't try usually just look lazy on camera, not the case here. When they do record a scene, it may not look good but you'll know that it is.
Lastly i want to talk about comedy in this movie, IT'S FULL OF IT.The character "Dikan" was a poor farmer and still acts as such, he makes jokes now and then but even without jokes it's still funny when he says something, because even though he's meant to act serious, his accent and his way of thinking end up just sounding like a bufoonery, even in completely serious situations.
Dikan is not the only character that does this, many characters do it too but not to such a degree
Overall i find the movie really entertaining mostly because of it's comedy and people in 70's trying to act 10/10 would watch again
