Storyline

Dr. Laurence Jeffries, a neurosurgeon, intent on his research, neglects his wife Frances. The frustrated woman accordingly takes a lover, Paul Damien, a French journalist. When he realizes what is going on, Laurence has only one thing in mind, vengeance. A diabolical idea comes to him: why not use one of his patients, an amnesiac, as his instrument of revenge? Interesting twist as Novel becomes Film
20 November 1999 | by (Paris,France) – See all my reviews

Someone Behind the Door is based on the French novel by Jacques Robert "Quelqu'un derriere la porte". In the novel the neurosurgeon (played by Anthony Perkins) is a writer and the Mystery Man 'behind the door'(Charles Bronson) is a fictitious character from the novel he's writing. The novel's fantasy world of writing became the movie's realistic and dramatic psychological duel between Perkins and Bronson.
