Willeke van Ammelrooy in her first big movie that also made her a Dutch star. She later made the Oscar winning movie Antonia (1995). Director Fons Rademaker also won an Oscar for De aanslag. This movie is known for it sexy appearance of van Ammelrooy. It was the start of the dutch film revival
