The film is based on the eponymous book by Lev Kassil. Natasha is called "The White Queen", because she is the winner of many international ski competitions. Her coach is going through a midlife crisis. He makes a decision to quit his career in sports. His loyal student, Natasha, convinces him to continue being her coach for another competition.
