Nick has been living as a merchant seaman, sailing everywhere with his pet pelican. While off the coast of South America, his boat is capsized by an oil tanker. In fury, he gets back ashore, seeking the oil company's board of directors, and says that he wants to be repaid. However, he is met by surprising hostility. He also meets a twelve-year-old boy who, it turns out, is the heir to the oil company, after his grandfather allegedly died. Nick agrees to protect the boy and, not very surprisingly, they soon find that Grandpa isn't at all dead, but merely hiding in the wilderness (allegedly the Colombian Amazon). Soon they discover that there is a conspiracy of greed, and after an action-packed climax, Nick acquires a new boat. Written by

Its fun to watch *some* old movies. I've been transferring last box of my father's VHS tapes to discs, when I found this little gem. Yes, it is old, it has been poorly edited, and it shows its age - in some parts. But it is still funny, something I cannot say about many of other very old movies. The tape itself was in poor condition, originally released in 80's (recorded in mono, probably on 2-head VCR), so normally I would have pass on viewing it, but this movie kept me glued to the TV screen from beginning till the end :-) Without giving away its plot, I must say the story is believable, the action and its limited special effects (explosions mostly) are sufficient, and the acting is *not bad*. Certainly, after so many years, this movie is still more fresh than most of the modern low budget production ladden with high quality FX and brainless plots and awful acting... If you're looking for an hour+ of fun, with hint of action - this little movie is for you.
