Hey now, finally there's a movie that makes The Incredibly Strange Creatures That Stopped Living and Became Mixed-up Zombies look like the big-budget extravaganza that it isn't. This is way low budget, but like the other movie I mentioned it IS extremely colorful. This is cheesy movie-making at its best (or worst, depending on your point of view). Slasher murders at Coney Island, now THERE'S a place for a horror movie, for sure. This is the kind of movie I find entertaining in a stupid kind of way, and I wasn't disappointed. An assistant DA is investigating a few murders that happened at this amusement park, sort of, and I say "sort of" because that doesn't seem to be the main focus of this film. And what exactly is its main focus? Carnival stuff, arguing, drunken, and obnoxious patrons, and a particular booth with some nerdy little guy that has a thing for teddy bears. Could the killer be his trusty sidekick, Gimpy? He of the peaches and cream (not!) complexion? Well, I suppose it COULD be. Is it the evil Gypsy fortune teller that smokes cigars? Yeah, it could be her too. But you won't know unless you have the GUTS (he he he) to watch this. Make no mistake, this is by no means a GOOD movie, but I found it to be an ENTERTAINING movie, despite its cheapness & lack of focus on any particular story line except maybe toward the end. I'd give it 6 out of 10.
