A collection of skits that make fun of 1970s television, featuring early appearances by Chevy Chase and Richard Belzer.
Chevy Chase is a pedestrian about to cross the street, when the walk/don't walk light starts changing just before he begins to cross, as if it were playing a practical joke on him.
A shy San Francisco librarian and a bumbling cop fall in love as they solve a crime involving albinos, dwarves, and the Catholic Church.
Jealous, harried air traffic controller Max Fiedler, recently dumped by his girlfriend, comes into contact with nuclear waste and is granted the power of telekinesis, which he uses not only to win her back, but to gain a little revenge.
A showcase of music and satirical sketch comedy.
I, too, was a young teen who became much more politically aware thanks to this wonderful program's focus on current events through a counter-culture perspective. My more vivid memories, however, are of Chevy Chase and Ken Shapiro (I think) in mime's white face, with Ken playing Chevy's head like a bongo to the rhythm of classical music selections. There was also a semi-regular cooking-show segment with disastrous instructions for such culinary misfires as the Fourth of July "Freedom Loaf." How I would love to re-experience the series on DVD.
Katee Sackhoff talks about her characters on "Battlestar Galactica," "Star Wars: Rebels," and "The Flash." Plus, "The IMDb Show" learns what it takes to wield a lightsaber.
