The TV series Four-in-One (1970) rotated four separate shows: this series, Night Gallery (1969), McCloud (1970), and The Psychiatrist (1970). Two were renewed for the 1971-1972 season. McCloud (1970) was the most popular and longest-running.
After this pilot, NBC ordered six series episodes, but only with the stipulation that Lloyd Bridges play the 'Jim Conrad' role instead of Pernell Roberts.
