Long-lost little gem of a movie
19 August 2001 | by (philadelphia) – See all my reviews

I remember the Inquirer's four-star rating of this film catching my eye about five or six years ago. So I watched it and when it was over I wished I would have taped it SO BAD. I have never seen it since and I wish that could change. I think it's one of the best movies I've ever seen, PERIOD. Terence Stamp is great in it as John Soames. I can't remember much about it except that the ending sequence where Soames goes out into the world was really exceptional. I think it's like completely out of print on video. All of the movies that I like best are ones that no one else likes, which is sort of a problem when it comes to finding them on tape. This film deserves no less than a 10.
