Notorious stagecoach robber Rhiannon is unintentionally appointed as deputy when he saves the sheriff's life and must wear two hats between his new job that he enjoys and his old occupation that he misses.
This was one of the best western movies I'd seen in a long time. It had a good story, a good script, and a great cast of actors. Don Murray plays Sam Garrison, a martial that has lost his nerve and his gun trigger hand. But when Jesse James and The Cole Younger gangs come into town, they brace themselves for an outlaw invasion. In the gang is a very young Harrison Ford! Harrison Ford's performance as Carl is great! I remember in one scene he stops a guy on a horse, he has more scenes but I remember that one the most. This movie also has great performances by Anne Francis, John Saxon, Gene Evans, Harry Dean Stanton, and Stuart Margolin. If this movie ever comes on TV again, tape it!
