This made for TV film has all the look and feel of a Hard-Boiled Detective story with heart! A strong dialogue and character development goes a long way in this low budget film with bland scenery. There are 2 stories told in a nature which is both clinical and suspenseful. It would not be fair to reveal the reason for the title but, I can say that the detective character played by Darren McGavin is mistreated for his dedication and determination in many different ways. If you like a detective piece told in a stream of conscious style this film should please you.
