Principal photography began the 2nd week of July 1970, during rehearsals at MGM. Shows at the International Hotel were filmed in August. Photography was completed on September 9th with the concert in Phoenix, Az at the Veteran's Memorial Coliseum.

The following celebrities were greeted as they walked into the International Hotel in the film: Juliet Prowse, Charo, Xavier Cufat, Rona Barrett, Norm Crosby, & Dale Robertson. Seen at the showroom tables were Sammy Davis, Jr. & Carey Grant.

An MGM production crew was sent to Luxembourg to film the Fifth Elvis Presley Appreciation Society Convention. Four thousand Elvis fans attended the convention.
