A pair of outlaws seeking amnesty from the Governor must stay incognito and out of trouble in a town while a friend pleads their case. The wait is complicated by a lovely bank manager and the arrival of members of their former gang.

So for the following year, the West's most wanted men would lead model lives - lives of temperance, moderation and tranquility. Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry would cease to exist. In their places would ride two men of peace... alias Smith and Jones.
