Storyline

In a small Mediterranean port, Lionel, a kind-hearted athlete, saves a young woman in dire straits who was about to kill herself. He is assisted by William Chaminade, a vet whose business is failing and who provides emergency first aid to the suicide candidate. The victim explains to them that if she tried to take her own life it is because of her husband who did not fulfill his conjugal duties any longer. She 'd rather be dead than sink into the dishonor of adultery. Moved by her distress William and Lionel decide to set up a firm designed to come to the assistance of neglected wives by allowing them to benefit from the services of a certified stud, recognized by the Social Security administration... Not the Mocky's film I prefer, far from that.

I am not the greatest Jean-Pierre Mocky's films fan. But I perfectly understand that many people like him. His way of filming is recognizable among billions of other features. He has his own trade mark. But this one was boring to me. A total waste of time. I bought it only because Bourvil and Francis Blanche. Only for them. At any moment, I made it in this movie, I couldn't get into this stupid story. In fact, the Mocky's films I prefer are those with a tragic ending, dark, and not genuine comedies, such as this feature.

Bourvil was here nearly at his end of life. Actor Michael Lonsdale revealed that, during the shooting, Bourvil went to the beach, got into the sea and swam very far from the shore. So, Lonsdale swam to Bourvil, because he was very worried about him.

Only for die hard Mocky's fans.
