Anachronisms

Just after we see the train for the first time in the Swiss ski resort, a man with blond hair is reading the Daily Express. On the back page, the headline is 'Why Brown had to go' and above this is written 'Stock steps in at Luton'. Allan Brown was fired as manager of Luton Town FC on 17th December 1968 and Alec Stock was appointed to the position three days later. However, the three letters we see Bond photo stating in Gumbold's office in Bern are dated 12th June, 30th July and 3rd August 1969. Therefore, the newspaper being read in Switzerland may have been dated one year or more prior to the date we could suppose that we are observing the man reading it.

In the first fight scene on the beach, Bond is fighting the attacker with one glove on his hand. Bond knocks him to the ground. The attacker picks up his gun, but Bond kicks it out of his hand, and it goes flying. It plays the sound effect of the gun being fired, after the gun has already been kicked out of the attacker's hand into mid-air.

Bond, disguised as Sir Hilary, explains that there are thirteen officers in the Royal College of Arms, which is correct. However, as Sable Basilisk (Sir Hilary's title) is a fictional office, Bond should have said fourteen officers.

An allergy is not a feeling of disgust or revulsion towards something as described in the book and movie - it is an immune system reaction which can be fatal in some people. Eating the food you are allergic to would still cause the reaction, even if you had already been hypnotized beforehand to believe you enjoyed it. Ruby and the other girls don't understand this.

As Bond clears out his desk, we see Honeychile's knife from Dr. No, Grant's garrote/watch from From Russia with Love, and a re-breather from Thunderball, with appropriate musical cues for each. The first item would have been lost or destroyed in Dr. No's time frame. The filmmakers knew this fact, and chose to ignore it in order to "bridge" the Bond movies through the lead actor change.

Towards the end of the ski chase, one of these three skiers flies into a tree about ten feet from the ground and falls in a heap. Gunther calls him an idiot. However, the fallen skier was dressed as Gunther, wearing a pistol and carrying only poles. When the remaining two men follow Bond off a jump, both carrying rifles. Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Blofeld fails to recognize Bond, even though the two met face-to-face in the previous film, You Only Live Twice. (The original script for OHMSS began with Bond having his face altered via plastic surgery to explain the change of actors. This idea was dropped, but in doing so it created this continuity error later in the film.) Perhaps he is merely toying with Bond, feigning ignorance in a cat-and-mouse game.

During the stock car scene, when one car gets flipped, there is an in-car POV from the upside-down stock car. However, one can see that the shot is really a conventional reaction shot of the driver inverted in the editing room by the fact that the background and spectators are also upside-down.

At the wedding, Draco and M discuss an occasion where M's department cost Draco three men. M says, "Ah, yes, November 1964 - the bullion job." This seems to be a reference to Goldfinger, implying Draco was once in league with Auric Goldfinger. But if the writers intended this, they made wrong allusions: 1) M alluded to Draco getting away with a large portion of the job while nothing was stolen; and 2) it's cold in Kentucky by November yet Goldfinger's battle was filmed with obvious summer scenery.
