Storyline

Sexy, teenaged, immature Girly and her camera-wielding brother Sonny bring home unsuspecting men to Mumsy and Nanny, where they play games, and if they don't follow the rules, they're sent to the angels. One day they bring home a New Friend who has a few ideas for games of his own, though, and he begins to turn the foursome against each other. Written by Brian J. Wright <tyrannorabbit@hotmail.com>

Trivia

Released at the same time as Goodbye Gemini (1970), another sexually provocative British film. At the time, there was a strong backlash against such films from the conservative press, meaning that some cinema chains refused to show the film. It was rebranded for US release and called simply "Girly" where it rather surprisingly found a small audience. See more »

Goofs

Sonny's "16mm home movie camera" is actually an 8mm home movie camera. You can tell by the size, shape, lens and model name. 16mm weren't as common for home movies as an 8mm camera was in 1970 so it would be difficult for an amateur filmmaker to obtain one without a lot of money. See more »

Quotes

Girly: [Girly watches as Sonny and the other man try to get the man's girlfriend to go down the slide] Go on!... bitch.
New Friend: Yeah, go on!
Girly: [Smiling slyly] Cubby-cubby-custard!
[Sonny nods his head and then grabs the girlfriend's leg, causing her to trip]
Girlfriend: AHHHH!
[the girlfriend falls several feet to the ground below, breaking neck. The man stares down in shock while Sonny and Girly pick up the girlfriend's veil from her body]
Girly: [In a childish voice] What'd you push her for, Mister?

Creepy madness!!!
3 July 1999 | by (Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada) – See all my reviews

Understated British psychodrama with no effects to speak of, just lots of creepy dialogue, tension and madness - not even any nudity and only implied sex, very little at that. Twisted little tale of a mad little "family" that will engross, humour, disgust and terrify you. Mmmm .... yummy.
