Mosquito Squadron (1969)
Hufford: Ah, what do you say, Munroe, hmm? What are the odds?
Munroe: About the same as spitting in an Air Commodore's eye from an express train, sir.
[During a low level flight to a target in France, Munroe's Navigator leans over to him]
Flt. Sgt. Wiley Bunce: I hope you brought your driving licence with you.
Munroe: What for?
Flt. Sgt. Wiley Bunce: You fly this thing any lower, you're going to need it!
Flt. Sgt. Wiley Bunce: [Pointing to the V-1 launchers] Look at those bastards! Three V-1's ready to take off!
Munroe: Enough to flatten another square mile of London!
Flt. Sgt. Wiley Bunce: We're not stopping enough of them, are we sir?
Munroe: No, we're just thinning them out a little.
Wing Commander Clyde Penrose: You were close, weren't you?
Munroe: [Walking off] We were brought up together.
Wing Commander Clyde Penrose: [Walking alongside] Really? Were there family connections?
Munroe: No. My mother and father were killed some time ago. I've always thought of Sqaudron Leader Scott's parents as my own
Wing Commander Clyde Penrose: I see.
Munroe: Well, I suppose i'd better go and tell them.
Wing Commander Clyde Penrose: Hateful business. I could never find the words.
Flt. Lieut. Douglas Shelton: [Watching Beth walkaway in tears] What did you say to my sister?
Munroe: I didn't have to say anything.
Flt. Lieut. Douglas Shelton: [Face falls] Scotty?
Munroe: When do you return to duty?
Flt. Lieut. Douglas Shelton: Duty? What duty?
[Indicates his missing arm]
Flt. Lieut. Douglas Shelton: flying a desk one handed!
Munroe: If that's all you think you can handle.
Flt. Lieut. Douglas Shelton: Well, they've offered me a hook - makes a marvelous back scratcher, so I'm told!
Munroe: Well, I'm sure Scotty would settle for it right now
Munroe: [Watching Quint come back from talking to Beth] Do you thing I should go to her?
Flt. Lieut. Douglas Shelton: No, I don't think you should go to her! Just let her cry!
Mr. Scott: When your parents died, and you came to live with us, Mother and I always admired your spirit, the way you handled your grief, and went on with your life.
Munroe: Well, that's what they would have wanted me to do.
Mr. Scott: I... I only hope we can do as well, Quint.
Munroe: [On the recon mission to Charlon] How close do you want to go?
Major Kemble: Part their hair, Squadron leader!
Major Kemble: [Indicating the German flak gunners] Noisy lot, wern't they
Munroe: Lat's a lot of flak for one chateau! they must have something they don't want seen.
Major Kemble: It's a good reason for us to have to go in again!
Munroe: [Kemble has asked for a second run over the chateau] How close do you want to go this time?
Major Kemble: Knock their bloody heads off!
Munroe: [Watching the fire crews remove Kemble from the wrecked Mosquito] Well, lets hope those bloody pictures are worth it!
Flt. Lieut. Douglas Shelton: [Watching the German film of RAF prisoners being delivered to Charlon] That's Scotty!
