Venise au siècle des Lumières...
29 March 2000 | by (Champ sur Drac, France) – See all my reviews

Nobody seems to have seen this interesting movie.

Comencini shows us the 18th century Venice, a lusty and quite filthy place were ignorance rivals with appearances. Casanova is more a pretext than a pivotal character, he is portrayed as a handsome lad who does not grasp what is happening to him. The real Casanova was more astute.
