Fun Stuff

Trivia:
When the film was being restored for DVD, the producers obtained The Beatles' permission to remix the songs in order to produce a proper 5.1 music track. Engineer Peter Cobbin went back to The Beatles' original four-track work tapes and assembled true multi-track masters for each of the 15 songs, enabling him to achieve stereo effects and adding clarity that had never previously been possible. Many Beatles fans objected to this, although the surviving Beatles themselves reportedly approved the new mixes. more
Quotes:
John: If I could come in, here, I think the theory put forward by Einstein...
Paul: [singing] Einstein, Einstein, any-any-any old Einstein...
John: Could well be applied here. The people in the ball are obviously extensions of our own personalities, suspended, as it were, in time, frozen in space...
George: Uh, John...
John: ...According to the now-famous theory of relativity...
George: John...
John: Which, briefly explained...
George: John!
John: Is simply a matter of taking two eggs...
George: JOHN!

Psychedelic Perfection!, 1 November 2000

"Yellow Submarine" is my favorite movie of all time! The animation is a perfect psychedelic display that would make Peter Max proud, and rival anything out of the Disney studios. This movie made me love the Beatles, and might just do the same for you. And, if you can, be sure to see the version with the "Hey Bulldog" sequence. I'd never seen that one until recently, during its revival. So that was a special bonus!
