This movie is about Scandinavia´s most successful pop band in the 1960s and early 1970s. This is their second movie, their first "Tre Dar I Buren" (1963) was just "Okay". This one is better.
The plot is pretty good. The shooting of this movie took place mostly in Sweden but also in other countries. You can see the labour of New York for three seconds on the screen. The rest of the abroad shooting, the Wild West scenes, took place in Yugoslavia.
One can compare the figths scenes with the early Terence Hill/Bud Spencer films. But this isn´t actually an action movie. There is, of course, a love story. That was a must be in a movie with Sweden´s teen idols number 1. And there are a lot of humour and music too. Sven-Ingvars perform the title song and some other songs as well, in this movie.
After this film, a huge economical loss for the band, since they have sponsered the project themselves, they disappeared from the charts for some years.
1971 they did a strange comeback with an LP only with poems. But "I Frödingland" is said to be their best album ever.
Still today, Sven-Ingvars is a very successful band. They tour with rock shows at festivals and clubs. Since they were formed back in 1956, only two original members are left.
