Sex & Nudity

  • Nicholas and Lily discuss Conchis' alleged voyeurism. They are shown kissing fully clothed before slowly reclining onto a bed. They stop before going further because Lily fears he is watching them somehow. However, they discuss meeting later "at night."
  • Nicholas and Anne go skinny-dipping before having sex. Most explicit nudity and sexual movements are obscured, although a fair amount of hazy flesh is glimpsed through tall grass. Anne is shown topless for a couple seconds before diving into a pool of water. She is shown in her underwear briefly prior to this as she strips off her clothes to go swimming. The pool cloaks all other explicit nudity from Nicholas and her.
  • Nicholas dreams of having sex with Lily. The two are shown kissing and caressing while she is in a negligee and he is shirtless. They are briefly glimpsed reclining on a bed.

Violence & Gore

  • Three men are ambushed and shot to death while swimming shirtless. However, there is only one brief shot with a moderate amount of blood.
  • A man is clubbed in the stomach and face with a rifle butt, and another is slapped in the face.
  • Some men are implied to have been tortured. They are shown briefly with some blood on their faces.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • Nicholas and Lily start to have sex. The two undress slowly while kissing. Lily is shown in a negligee and Nicholas is shown shirtless. They recline briefly on a bed before being interrupted.
  • Nicholas is shown footage of a man and woman having sex. Extremely brief glimpses of the woman's breasts are shown. Possible implication of oral sex as the woman is shown briefly on her knees undoing the man's belt.

Violence & Gore

  • A large number of unarmed men are shot down with machine guns. One man is shown with his face covered in blood, but most of the killings are bloodless.
  • A man is implied to bludgeon another man to death. One shot shows the impact in a close-up shot, but the camera cuts to the man doing the bludgeoning for the rest of the scene, leaving the victim out of the frame.
